How to List Your Grain on A.J.BAT

There is no charge to either buyers or sellers to list on A.J.BAT. The ability to post bid or ask listings on-line requires registration with A.J.BAT. To register, please complete and submit the registration form or phone either 1-800-567-5671 or 1-204-942-1459. We will contact you with a registration ID and password to use each time you submit a listing. *To list your grain, oilseed or special crop:*
1.	Decide on the size of lot, grade, location and terms of sale.
2.	Complete and submit the appropriate form below. After you have confirmed and submitted your bid or ask listing, it will appear immediatly on the A.J.BAT report page for that crop. If the crop you want to list is not shown, send us an e-mail with your name, phone number and crop and we will consider including it in our service.

3.	When submitted, listings are available immediatly for viewing by subscribers to the A.J.BAT reports. Only those subscribers authorized to participate in A.J.BAT's live market have the ability to access the "Offer to Sell/Buy" page linked to your listing. This page contains directions on how to contact you directly to submit their offer. Depending on the options you choose during the listing process, contact information (name, address, phone/fax number and e-mail) for the subscriber placing the offer will be forwarded directly to the e-mail address you provided when registering. You are responsible for following up on offers related to your listings.
4.	A listing remains active for 21 days from the date it is posted. After 21 days, the "Offer to Sell/Buy" link is removed and you must re-list the crop to continue to solicit offers. If you want to edit your listing or withdraw it before it expires, go to the edit listings page and follow the directions. Changes to your listing are effective immediatly. Withdrawing a listing removes the "Offer to Sell/Buy" link.
5.	Once an offer for your listing has been accepted, go to the edit listings page to change the listing from a Bid (or Ask) to a Trade. This will remove the "Offer to Sell/Buy" link from your listing thereby helping you and the users of the A.J.BAT market reduce both the time and expense incurred dealing with offers for a listing no longer available.
6.	The Buyer and Seller negotiate directly the specific terms and a deal is completed.
7.	If you choose to exclude your name, phone number and e-mail address from the "Offer to Sell/Buy" page, it is assumed you prefer to negotiate through a broker rather than direct. In this case, offers towards your listing will be brokered through Johnston's Grain Marketing. There is no charge to sell. Buyers pay a small commission to Johnston's on trades completed through their office. On A.J.BATexport related trades, Sellers pay a small commission on deals negotiated through Johnstons; there is no charge to buy. For information about the services offered and the commission schedule, contact Johnston's at either 1-800-324-7778 or 1-306-733-2006.
8.	If you prefer to neither register nor add your own listings on-line, listing requests can be made by phone or fax to Johnston's Grain Marketing (phone: 1-800-324-7778 or 1-306-733-2006, fax: 1-800-489-4448 or 1-306-733-4520) or by e-mail (ajbat.johnstons@sk.sympatico.ca). There is no charge to list or to sell. Buyers pay a small commission to Johnston's on trades completed through their office. On A.J.BATexport related trades, Sellers pay a small commission on deals negotiated through Johnstons; there is no charge to buy.
9.	Users of the A.J.BAT web site agree to be bound by the Terms & Conditions for using this service.
